History

Beneath blues skies an historic gem in the crown of Beaufort's Sea Islands beckons you to step into a bygone era. Pick Pocket Plantation is a mid-19th century plantation meticulously restored. Furnished with period antiques and surrounded by classic farm structures Pick Pocket takes one back to simpler times. Open for tours Monday through Saturday visitors will be taken through the house by the Victorian Ladies, Miss Millie and Miss Kim, in period costume and then stroll the plantation grounds to view the many outbuildings.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for...

John Deere?
Look closer, it isn't a small tractor, it's an ice cream machine!
Today Mr. Keith debuted the best homemade ice cream ever made!
Millie enjoyed a bowl of this creamy Vanilla delicacy which was the perfect compliment to the sweltering afternoon heat at the Farmer's Market.
While several of us indulged in the frosty ice cream treat Miss Abigail modeled her new dresses for us.
She definately exudes the elegance of a young Victorian lady:).
Don't worry if you missed the Farmer's Market this week-
the fun, food, and friendship will happen again next Tuesday at Pick Pocket Plantation from 2:00-7:00.
