History

Beneath blues skies an historic gem in the crown of Beaufort's Sea Islands beckons you to step into a bygone era. Pick Pocket Plantation is a mid-19th century plantation meticulously restored. Furnished with period antiques and surrounded by classic farm structures Pick Pocket takes one back to simpler times. Open for tours Monday through Saturday visitors will be taken through the house by the Victorian Ladies, Miss Millie and Miss Kim, in period costume and then stroll the plantation grounds to view the many outbuildings.

Lunch at Pick Pocket Plantation

Today, beneath sunny blue skies, a luncheon was held at Pick Pocket Plantation.
Mr. Keith parked some of his vintage cars outside the masion for all to enjoy.

Lunch was provided by the Red Rooster Cafe
Lunch fare consisted of Chicken salad, Tuna salad, and Egg salad sandwiches with pasta salad.
Brownies for dessert and sweet tea made lunch complete.

Millie and I took guests through the house sharing its extensive history.
After touring the house, guests were able to enjoy an afternoon stroll through the Plantation grounds.
Thanks for joining us!
